Bistroteca has arrived in Bugibba Square, and it has raised the bar for all the cafes and restaurants in the area.
For this is a classy joint, and it serves an appropriately classy full English breakfast too.
Listen folks, it’s not all that difficult for a professional chef to make a fry up. Just give him or her some good quality ingredients and let them get about their business. That’s what the good people at Bistroteca have done, and the result is the quality of breakfast that we would all be more than happy with.
Would I like some black pudding to be stuck onto the plate? Of course I would, and I know they’ve got some knocking about the kitchen as it appears on another dish on the breakfast menu. But other than that I could have no complaints.
Speaking of other dishes, you’ll find a very wide selection of breakfasting options here, including a Mexican-style burrito; a quiche; truffle poached eggs; salmon; omelettes; Norwegian & Florentine eggs, as well as the afore-mentioned black pudding with crispy bacon brioche.
I think next time I come back here I will have to try a variation on my regular repast.
Great service, ideal location, beautifully designed and great food: If only they were all like this.
