Best Full English in Malta?: Watercolours (Bugibba)

Variety is the spice of life, they say, and Watercolours restaurant has come up with a variation on the typical Maltese version of the English breakfast.  Apart from your standard fare, their ‘deluxe’ breakfast includes mushrooms, a waffle, hash browns AND a black pudding.  So full marks for going the extra mile.  Sadly, the reality does not quite live up to the promise, at least not in terms of the quality of ingredients.  These sausages are poor, wrinkled creatures, and the mushrooms come out of a tin, which just ain’t the same.  A decent effort though.  Nice hash browns in particular, and again, kudos for pushing the breakfast envelope.
