If you are one of those people who likes going on holiday to hot places, but can’t be doing with all that messy business of dealing with local food, customs, language and/or people, then Bugibba may be just the spot for you. Untouched by Maltese culture and tradition, Bugibba remains a bastion of British fish ‘n’ chips, bingo and premier league football.
You can happily bumble along from one British (or Irish) pub to the next – if karaoke is your thing, well look no further. There’s a cinema, some nightclubs, a casino and rocky beaches for sunbathing during the day.
And you can go souvenir shopping to your heart’s content, to give everyone back home the impression that you have been to Malta on your holidays, when patently this is something of an exaggeration.
