The island was bounced around by some pretty noisy thunderstorms at the beginning of October, with lightning splitting the skies on the weekend of October 4th.
But since then it’s been blue skies and warm weather, with the next few days looking pretty good too.
This morning was seriously warm when I went for a run, and all weekend there were people sunbathing and swimming in the sea.
And this after the sunniest September on the island since the 1920’s.
So while it may not have been a stone-splittingly hot summer this year, at least the warm weather is stretching into Autumn.
