From my extensive research on the subject, it appears that blue sharks are relatively common in the shark world. Also, there are no known cases of them ever having attacked a human, so you’ll be alright unless you bump into one in a really bad mood.
But then, you probably weren’t planning on going for an eight kilometre swim, so I wouldn’t worry about them.
The other shark sighting is somewhat more controversial.
This picture turned up on the interweb, also in early June, showing what appears to be a lassoed shark on the jetty at Bugibba.
It certainly buy clomid success displays shark-like qualities, but how it got there is another matter.
I think we can all agree that somebody brought the creature here, but nobody is taking credit/blame for it so we don’t know how far he travelled. Perhaps it was imported on ice for some restaurant or other, which discovered that the shark with chips was not a big draw with it’s clientele. It looks kind of like the blue shark in the first photo if you ask me, but then I’m no expert.
In summary, if you want to see some sharks on your trip to Malta your best bet is to take a trip to the Aquarium, because you’re not likely to have any close encounters with ‘Jaws’ in the sea.
